Ghanaian star actress Jackie Appiah over the weekend, celebrated her 32nd birthday with the less privileged in her hometown Ghana. Her birthday was on the 5th of December and the beautiful actress spent it by touching other people’s lives.
Jackie Appiah was born December 5, 1983 in Toronto, Canada. She is the last of five children from her parents. Some of her successful movies include; Beyoncé – The President Daughter, Princess Tyra, Passion of the Soul, Pretty Queen, The Prince’s Bride, The King is Mine and The Perfect Picture.
Ms. Jackie took to Instagram yesterday, to share how and why she celebrated her birthday this year with the less privileged in her society. Here’s her message, in quote:
“On Saturday 5th December was my birthday and I am extremely grateful to God for the gift of life. I will also like to appreciate my family and friends for their support and prayers which have kept me going all these years. May God bless you all.
This year, like all previous ones, I chose to celebrate my birthday with the less privilege in society instead of having a private party in the comfort of my home.
In the past, I have spent this special day with kids at various hospitals and orphanages.
This year, my management team and I decided to bring together over 60 kids from the Teshie and Osu orphanages to a kids play house at airport residential area to celebrate my birthday with them. We also had children of family and friends. Indeed, the children of family and friends were interacting and showing love to the Less privileged kids from the orphanages.
On behalf of the Jackie Appiah Foundation I presented a few items to the kids. The items included books, sch bags, stationary and other educational materials. Bags of rice, drinks and toiletries and cash.”
To show her appreciation for the birthday well wishes she received from fans and well-wishers, Ms. Jackie had this to say:
“I’ve enjoyed reading all of the birthday messages and want to thank everyone who wished me a happy birthday yesterday and today. If you haven’t wished me a happy birthday yet, you still have some time left to do so. LOL?. But honestly I really appreciate the love, “THANK YOU” are the only words that come to mind right now.” –JACKIE APPIAH
